Japanese cuisine is as nuanced and diverse as they come. This book introduces the genre through seven different cuisines from sushi to ramen.
I wanted the book to be a tactile experience because in Japanese cuisine texture can be just as important as flavor. Linen paper, stab-stitch binding, a die-cut cover, and translucent paper were employed to accomplish this.
As a companion piece for the book, I created a "Sushi 101 Kit." This kit has an infographic guide and tools to create your own sushi masterpieces at home.
